HALLOWEEN DRINK IDEAS

Image

Throwing a Halloween party can be a lot of fun, and figuring out what to serve at your party can be a little intimidating.  A party would not be complete without mocktails so the non-alcoholic drinkers can have a fun, too!

To help you along the way, here are five Halloween non-alcoholic mocktail recipes to include in your party this year – ideal for adults and teens alike!

The simple, non-alcoholic fruit punch

For a fun twist on a classic fruit punch, mix half a gallon of sherbet ice cream and two litres of ginger ale.  This non-alcoholic fruit punch is a refreshing mocktail, full of bubbles and zest.

Pomegranate Bellini

Heat the pomegranate juice in a saucepan until hot, but not boiling.  Whisk in half-a-cup of blueberry jam until it is smooth and combined.  Strain the liquid through a pitcher.  Put the syrup into the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.

To serve, pour two or three teaspoons of syrup into champagne flutes and fill with non-alcoholic champagne.  Float a few blueberries on top to garnish, and enjoy.

“Monstermash smoothie”

In a blender, combine fresh strawberries with a splash of orange juice, set aside.  Blend a handful of blackberries and blueberries until you get a puree consistency.

To serve, pour one layer of strawberries, followed by a layer of blueberry/blackberry mash.  Top with a blended orange juice and vanilla yogurt mix.  This drink is thick, creamy, and refreshing.  Serve with a spoon so your guests can mix the drink, giving it a layered and marbled look.

“Zombie eye punch”

Pull out the stems of 10 cups of cherries, and insert a chocolate chip in each cherry.  These will represent your zombie eyes.  Add all of the zombie eyes into the bottom of a punch bowl.  Combine three cups of ginger ale, 10 cups of cherry cola, five cups of red fruit juice concentrate, and three cups of pineapple juice.

Chill and serve.

“The Vampire Bite”

In a large pitcher, combine two cups of cranberry juice, half-a-cup of apple juice, and a quarter-cup of grenadine.  Top it off with two cups of seltzer water.

Squeeze one tube of red candy gel on a plate.  Rim the edges of four low-ball glasses and pour the prepared drink evenly into the glasses.  Garnish with gummy vampire teeth and serve immediately.

RUINART CHAMPAGNE & MACARONS TASTING

RUINARD1
RUINART is the oldest established Champange house, exclusively producing Champange since 1729. Founded by Nicolas Ruinart in the Champagne region in the city of Reims.
A Sweet life starts with a taste of Ruinart Champagne paired with delicious macarons. Please join us an afternoon filled with Bubblies and sweets as we taste Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs & Ruinart Brut Rose Champagne in our wine room at 5pm. We hope that you can join us. We think thought that this would be a great occasion to talk about one of Champagne’s oldest houses and those of you who are too far away to come to the tasting might be inspired to taste this great Champagne on your own.

RUINART BLANC DE BLANC NV
PRICE: 79.99
The Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne is all Chardonnay, but utilizes crus such as Trepail and Villers Marmery on the Mountain of Reims to round out the mineraly focus of the Cotes de Blancs fruit. This is a creamy, subtly toasty bottle of Champagne with a little bit of lychee exoticism. It has class to spare and is exceptionally easy to drink.

RUINART BRUT ROSE
PRICE: 84.99
The Ruinart Brut Rose Champagne is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, with 18% of the Pinot vinified red and blended in for color and flavor. It has a dark color- almost like blood orange juice and a soft, full bodied texture. It is rich and satisfying, despite the deceptively high proportion of Chardonnay. Many rose Champagnes have become so expensive and out of reach, but this is a luxury worth making a sacrifice for.

DOM RUINART BLANC DE BLANCS PRESTIGE CV
PRICE: 129.99
Although we wont taste them today, the top of the Ruinart lineup is very special. The 2002 Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne Prestige Cuvee is one of the top wines of that great vintage and very reminiscent of high class Corton Charlemagne. Composed entirely of grand cru Chardonnay, 65% from the Cotes de Blancs and 35% from the mountain of Reims it has a very mineral, driven focused green apple and fresh bread nose. Extraordinarily serious, compact, concentrated flavors with a nice nutty note in the background, it long to a fault.

DOM RUINART ROSE VINTAGE
PRICE: 319.99
At the very top of their lineup, the 1988 Ruinart “Dom Ruinart” Brut Rosé Champagne is a savory superstar that is fully mature. This is the type of bottle to share with only one other person, and perhaps a fillet of wild salmon or a mushroom risotto. Look for Vosne-Romanee like umami, haunting red cherry fruit and a near-endless finish.
